A power driver for a mud pulse generator. The power driver includes an oscillation circuit, a transformer module, and a capacitor module, and further includes a main control circuit, a voltage conversion circuit, and a capacitor voltage monitoring circuit. The pulse signal of the downhole probe is input to the main control circuit through the voltage conversion circuit. The main control circuit controls the timing of the entire circuit, and generates discharge, charge, and hold control signals to the corresponding control circuit. By controlling the charging and discharging of the capacitor module, the valve of the mud pulse generator is opened when the downhole probe pipe sends a pulse signal, and closed when the pulse signal ends. The capacitor voltage monitoring circuit detects the voltage of the capacitor module, so that the capacitor module starts charging when the voltage is low. The power driver adopts a design method combining hardware and software. The circuit is simple and has good flexibility. It can be suitable for different types of mud pulse generators and different underground working conditions.
